Cells are living organisms with their own internal systems in the human body. They cannot be seen and are often easily overlooked, yet they are anything but ordinary. I derived my inspiration for my paintings from a scientific animated video called “Cellular Vision: The Inner life of a Cell”, where I have been fascinated by the abstract beauty of organic cells with their detailed sequences and constructions of molecules. In this series, I am depicting the continuous growth of internal living organisms turn to female experience in a feminine way to address the female experience. In order to portray the movement, the line and colour of living growth, I applied empowering organic forms to evoke energy and motion, and approached the unseen realm with simplistic visuals. My paintings represents the endless cycles in which minute organisms grow, multiply, and decay continuously. The flowing forms are emblematic of the female reproductive system and the vibrant bodies of colours swirl and evolve, representing the beauty of growth.
